Ground breaking for Group 7's fifth site
The managers of the Munich-based freight forwarding company Group 7, members of the construction management and representatives of the general contractor have broken ground for a new logistics centre in Hamburg.
After the hubs in Frankfurt, Munich-Parsdorf, at Munich Airport, and Neuss near Düsseldorf, this property is Group 7’s fifth logistics centre in Germany.
The real estate, which is being built on a 40,000 sqm site in the Billbrook district of Hamburg, will feature 26,000 sqm logistics space and around 2,000 sqm office space.
The logistics service provider plans to open the new hub in autumn 2022. Among other sustainability requirements, the site will be equipped with a photovoltaic system, heat pumps and green roofs. (sh)
