Grimaldi supports Unicef shipments to Senegal
The Grimaldi Group has entered into a one-year partnership with Unicef to support its humanitarian efforts in Africa.
Under the agreement the company will provide free ocean transport for at least 80 containers of emergency supplies from New York to Dakar. The goal is to improve the timely delivery of essential goods to children and families in crisis-affected areas.
“The partnership allows us to accelerate and streamline the delivery of life-saving aid to vulnerable communities,” said Carmela Pace, president of Unicef Italy. Gian Luca Grimaldi, president of the Grimaldi Group, stated that “we’re honoured to use our logistics network to support Unicef’s important mission.”
The Naples-based Grimaldi Group operates more than 140 vessels and offers extensive ro-ro, car carrier and ferry services worldwide. (ah)
