Green fuel decreases truck emissions by 80%
Logistics specialist Rhenus and technology company Bosch are testing renewable fuels in Spain. As part of the agreement, Rhenus will put two vehicles into operation, powered by renewable fuel supplied by the Spanish energy provider Repsol.
These trucks will make a daily round trip between the Rhenus hub in Irun and the Robert Bosch plants in Aranjuez and Madrid. The vehicles are already using an 100% renewable biofuel produced from waste materials reducing road freight emissions by more than 80%.
With the initiative, Rhenus takes a further step towards its goal to decarbonise its entire truck fleet by 2030, while Bosch makes its supply chains more sustainable. (ben)
