Greece attracts a new player
Cargo-Partner has opened a branch office in Thessaloniki as another step in the strategic expansion of its network in Southeast Europe.
The new branch is the result of an acquisition of Arrow Freight Services, which has now been renamed Cargo-Partner Hellas. Arrow Freight Services was established in 2012. The new branch is headed by Arrow Freight Services' former owner, Kostas Polatidis.
The takeover follows the establishment of the first office in Skopje, North Macedonia, in March 2021. CEO Stefan Krauter emphasised the importance of Thessaloniki as Greece's second largest container port: "Thessaloniki is very close to North Macedonia, Bulgaria and Serbia, where we already have our own locations - and in the case of Sofia and Belgrade, our own warehouses." Initially, the Greek branch will focus primarily on FCL and LCL solutions in ocean freight. (cd)
