Deutsche Bahn (DB) and the German train drivers' union (GDL) have settled their wage dispute. The agreement includes a wage increase of 3.3% in two phases.
Employees will receive a corona bonus of between EUR 300.00 and EUR 600.00 on 1 December 2021, and a second in the amount of EUR 400 on 1 March 2022. For the first time, the settlement also provides for collective agreements for employees in workshops and administration.
The company's pension scheme for train drivers remains unchanged. However, as from 2022, the existing regulations for supplementary pensions will apply only to permanent employees who were hired before the end of 2021, DB said. (ben)
