Good year for Logwin from Luxembourg
The Logwin Group increased its revenue to EUR 1.15 billion in 2018 (2017: EUR 1.12 billion) due to a favourable business development and concluded the fiscal year 2018 with a substantially higher operating result (ebita) of EUR 49.2 million (2017: EUR 38.1 million). The operating margin thus rose to 4.3% (2017: 3.4%).
At EUR 39.2 million, the net result exceeded the previous year's figure of EUR 26.7 million by a significant EUR 12.5 million. In 2018, the air + ocean business segment again boosted its freight volumes in a market environment that was growing only slowly. Overall, revenues rose by 3.4% to EUR 778.8 million (2017: EUR 753.2 million).
The solutions business segment continued to feel the impact of strong price and competitive pressure in 2018. Nevertheless, sales volumes in existing businesses expanded overall and new customer business also added to the revenues. (mw)
