Good cargo results for ANA in 2021
All Nippon Airways Holdings Inc (ANA) has reported its financial results for the nine months to 31 December 2021. ANA’s continued strong international cargo service performance can be attributed to robust demand and a shift to air transport as a result of congestion in maritime transport. ANA fully utilised freighter aircraft, introducing the Boeing B777F freighter.
ANA also deployed passenger aircraft on cargo-dedicated flights and captured demand for the transport of goods such as automotive parts, semi-conductors, electronic equipment and vaccines. In the third quarter, cargo volumes greatly exceeded the amount transported during the same period in the previous year, leading to record high in quarterly revenue for the fifth consecutive quarter.
