Globrands revises warehouse processes
Israeli food and tobacco retailer Globrands, founded in 2000, is now using voice technology for picking and inventory for Zetes Medea.
Having launched its own direct distribution model in 2006, Globrands currently operates two main logistics centres in central and northern Israel and distributes to grocery chains, supermarkets, kiosks, etc. The multimodal pick-by-voice solution replaces the previous mobile computers.
As an effect, Globrands reported a significant reduction in the time spent per order for picking, fewer picking errors and also fewer discrepancies in inventories. In the logistics centres, efficiency in operating times was increased by around 15%. (sh)
