Globaltruck Management augments fleet
Globaltruck Management, one of the largest FTL trucking companies in Russia, has tabled its operating results for full year 2018.
As of 31 December 2018, the group’s truck fleet in operation totalled 1,363 vehicles, 223 trucks or 19.6% more units compared to 31 December 2017. The average age of the fleet in operation sank to 2.6 years from 3.4 years at the beginning of 2018.
At the end of 2018, the semitrailer fleet in operation amounted to 1,482 units, 23.5% more than at the beginning of the year.
Aleksandr Eliseev, Globaltruck co-founder and CEO, said: “Rising fuel prices in Russia are holding back volume growth in the road haulage market and preventing companies from expanding and renewing fleets. Despite these challenging conditions, we achieved one of our main goals in 2018 and increased our fleet. This year we will focus on improving operational and financial efficiency. (mw)
