Glencar to build Brummie base
Glencar is embarking on a new development at Catalyst Industrial Park, Birmingham, where it has been contracted by Aviva Investors to build four logistics units ranging from 2,090 sqm to 5,969 sqm. Fit with a steel portal frame design, 50KN/M2 floor loading and dock loading as well as level access doors on units 1 and 2, robust structure will be a key target of the development.
Glencar is also aiming for a Breeam excellent certificate and EPC A rating for sustainable construction as well as equipping the hub with photovoltaic panels and EV charging infrastructure.
Catalyst Park offers access to Birmingham’s historic LDV manufacturing hub, while the city centre is just 6.4 km away. The site can be accessed via Drews Lane which further connects to the A 47 and other motorways. (mk)
