Girteka continues modernisation strategy
The year 2022 was a period of dynamic change for the group. Girteka renewed its organisational structure, strengthened its operations in various geographic regions, introduced a renewed brand and responsible logistics positioning, and continued the rapid implementation of its digitalisation processes.
Nevertheless, the group‘s consolidated revenue reached EUR 1.93 billion, up 34% compared to 2021, while profit before tax grew 114% to EUR 166.5 million. The group's ebitda amounted to EUR 348.8 million.
For 2023, Girteka expected some difficulties. Already in the middle of 2022, the demand for freight transport services started to decline. But the success of the past year allows the group to consistently continue investing in strategic projects such as the digitalisation of its operations, the continuous renewal of truck fleet with a focus on sustainability and road safety as well as the improvement of working conditions for its employees, Girteka said.
