German vehicles to decarbonise Saudi Arabia
German vehicle manufacturer Quantron has delivered 50 electric-powered light trucks to Saudi Arabia with its Saudi partner Petromin. The Qargo 4EV model has been specially designed to make urban transport and last mile delivery as convenient and sustainable as possible.
The vehicles have a range of more than 250 km and a CATL battery with 81 kWh that can be charged in one hour. They will be used by Pepsico and Red Sea Global in daily operations, replacing diesel vehicles and thus emitting 31.5 kg less CO2 per 100 km. Tests with Quantron Qargo 4 EV trucks have been running in Saudia Arabia since November 2022. (ben)
