German takeover in Liguria
The Italian affiliate of the family-run and Hamburg-headquartered company A. Hartrodt is taking over 100% of the company Fratelli Gambetta, founded in Genoa in 1965 and also a family business.
The new entity will report to Maurizio Fasce, regional managing director of the German group for the Mediterranean and Africa. Felix Wenzel, managing partner of the A. Hartrodt Group, flew in from Hamburg to celebrate the union of the two companies.
The number of the Hamburg Holding's operating companies has now passed the threshold of 100 locations in 45 trading countries. The group generated freight forwarding revenues of EUR 742 million In 2021. (sh)
