German railfreight company augments portfolio

Railfreight operator DB Cargo is taking over DB Schenker’ “full load solutions" (FLS) business unit to strengthen its position as a specialist in European rail logistics, while Schenker is investing in the world's high-growth economies and markets, the companies announced.

FLS has been bundling large-volume full load transports in DB Schenker's European land transport network since 2019. Its services include door-to-door transport by land, rail or sea, as well as unpacking and repacking, cross-docking, warehousing, container loading, control tower and visibility services.

The transfer also affects Transa, Hangartner Terminal and most of the European operations of Multi Modal Solutions, a Schenker subsidiary. (ben)
