Georgian potentials
Riga (Latvia)-based cargo airline RAF Avia has appointed Aero Georgia Group as its GSA in Georgia. Established in 2019 by a group of aviation and travel / tourism executives with 20+ years of experience in these sectors, Aero Georgia offers various aviation services based in Tbilisi, "having a natural regional gravity and a true hub potential."
The other way round, Air Georgia, which operates a B747-200BSF, is planning to start intercontinental flights from Tbilisi, while Georgian Airways Cargo, the freight division of the Caucasian country's flag carrier, is considering the acquisition of widebody freighters, the biggest aircraft in its current fleet being B737 aircraft.
