Geodis expands air and rail capacities
Geodis is responding to the capacity bottlenecks caused by Covid-19 with a comprehensive expansion of its existing services. For instance, the company will provide new charter flights between Europe, Asia, USA and Latin America as well as alternative transport options per rail. Already Since February, Geodis has been offering regular charter flights between Shanghai (China) and Liège (Belgium) and Frankfurt (Germany).
As an alternative, Geodis has added transport solutions per train between China and Germany to its portfolio. The new offer includes direct links between the Chinese economic centres Xi'an and Chongqing and Hamburg and Duisburg in Germany.
The newly introduced direct charter connection from Hong Kong to Guadalajara, Mexico, has been extended after a successful start. At the same time, Geodis has announced that it will launch a new transatlantic service between Europe and Chicago (IL, USA). Geodis published an advisory bulletin on current Covid-19 developments every day. (mw)
