Geodis builds next bridgehead in Morocco
France-based logistics provider Geodis recently inaugurated a new warehouse in Mohammedia, north of Casablanca, where it is already well-established. The facility will be used to serve a manufacturer of household appliances and telecommunications.
The 11,000 sqm warehouse, with new 50 employees, complements the company’s supply chain management services for household appliances and high-tech products. With this new site, Geodis aims to focus particularly on the requirements of Moroccan customers in the consumer packaged goods (CPG) sector.
The logistics company has been quite active in the North African country recently. "On 1 May 2021 we opened in Tangiers, and now in Mohammedia. These openings are central to our development strategy which targets the CPG, automotive and aerospace verticals," says Jérôme Algier, managing director of Geodis in Morocco. (sh)
