Geodis augments activities in Belgium
Geodis has launched a new sorting centre in Schoten near Antwerp in Belgium and a new office at Liege airport. The first facility is intended to support the expansion of an international e-eommerce customer into the Belgian market, the second for multiple customers in Europe.
In Schoten, the new 6,300 sqm sorting centre will host between 100 to 150 express trucks per day. In order to process up to 20,000 parcels daily (140,000 per week), the facility will operate 24/7.
With its new office at the centre of Liège airport in Grâce-Hollogne, Geodis plans to strengthen its footprint "within the Amsterdam-Paris-Frankfurt golden triangle." (sh)
