Genoa: a new port government commissioner
By decree n. 217, Italy’s infrastructure and transport minister Matteo Sa lvini officially appointed Paolo Piacenza as government commissioner of the Western Ligurian sea port authority on 8 September 2023. Piacenza was also elected government administrator of the Savona Cable Car System - San Giuseppe di Cairo.
Prior to joining the Western Ligurian sea port authority in 2018, Piacenza worked as a senior lawyer. In addition, he was sole director of I.R.E., and served as legal counsel to Nars and Dipe, at the Italian prime minister's government office, in support of the inter-ministerial committee for economic planning.
