Geneva airport receives face masks and medical equipment
Bolloré Logistics teams in China and Switzerland worked in synergy to help establishing an air bridge between both countries to limit the spread of Covid-19. On 6 April, a B747-4 operated by Cargolux, arrived from Shanghai with 92 t of relief material on board, intended for hospitals and clinics as well as healthcare professionals in French-speaking Switzerland.
This operation, conducted on behalf of a group of organisations bringing together the Swiss-Chinese chamber of commerce (SCCC) as well as the Geneva chamber of commerce, industry and services (CCIG), was successfully carried out and at the earliest possible time. A total of 12,800 packages of medical equipment containing masks, gloves and protective visors as well as thermometers were received for a total volume of 630 cbm. (ah)
