Geis takes over K + N's Lichtenfels site
The Geis Group is expanding its overland transport network. The company will take over Kuehne + Nagel’s Lichtenfels overland transport handling site, as of 1 April, subject to antitrust authorities’ approval.
The entire platform and its around 50 employees and equipment will be transferred to the Geis Group. This modus operandi ensures that customers will have their customary contact persons.
The group’s managing partners, Hans-Georg Geis and Wolfgang Geis, remarked: “The acquisition strengthens our local presence in Bavaria (Germany). Moreover, the site focuses on international traffic, which perfectly complements our service portfolio in the region."
The Lichtenfels office will cooperate with the general cargo alliance IDS in future. (mw)
