Geis: a tandem at the helm
As part of a carefully planned transition process, the global Geis Group appointed Jörg Rotthowe as second managing director of its road division in October 2023. He will gradually take over all responsibility from long-standing managing director Klaus Stäblein, who will retire at the end of 2025.
The management duo will be supported by Peter Gayer and Uwe Schleh, who were appointed to the executive board at the beginning of the year.
Rotthowe has more than 30 years of experience in the freight forwarding and logistics industry. The forwarding agent and business economist has been a member of Geis’s road management board since May 2021 and previously headed the road international and road sales Germany departments.
Before joining Geis, Rotthowe held management positions at various logistics companies, including DHL Supply Chain in Hamburg. Most recently, he was branch manager at Zufall Logistics Group for ten years. (cj)
