Gefco is definitely for sale
Reuters brings it to light: the news agency reports that vehicle transport group Gefco has been put up for sale by its majority owners, the Russian Railways RZD and car manufacturer Stellantis, which became the umbrella organisation of Groupe PSA and Fiat Chrysler Automobiles in January 2021.
PSA Peugeot Citroën had sold 75% of its stake to the Russian Railways RZD at the end of 2012, yet Gefco retained its role as PSA’s exclusive worldwide logistics service provider. Now, Gefco’s selling price is predicted to be more than EUR 2 billion, as "people close to the matter" told Reuters.
The banks JP Morgan and Rothschild are handling the process. There is no news on the bidders, yet. Gefco is expected to reach a turnover of EUR 4.4 billion and an ebitda of EUR 345 million this year. (sh)
