Galliker gets first «Mega Charger»
The Swiss technology company Designwerk is adding new fast-charging stations in container format to its portfolio. Their purpose is to adapt electric commercial vehicles for long journeys without overloading the power grid. The first megawatt charging station in Switzerland is scheduled to go into operation at Galliker Transport in 2024.
With the development of the "Mega Charger", Designwerk is expanding its product portfolio to include a battery-buffered charging station with two CCS charging points and an output of 420 kilowatts DC each. The stations are around 8.6 m long, 2.55 m wide and 3 m high and furnished with powerful lithium-ion batteries. (ben)
