GAC to set up shop in Khalifa industrial zone
The integrated shipping, logistics and marine services provider GAC is opening a warehouse and open yard in the Khalifa Industrial Zone Abu Dhabi (Kizad), the Middle East’s largest industrial zone and a subsidiary of Abu Dhabi Ports.
The new GAC Abu Dhabi facility, expected to be fully operational this month, will serve a wide range of sectors including oil and gas, manufacturing, construction, FMCG, household effects, and specialist equipment.
GAC joins other international logistics and shipping companies that are already established in Kizad. The zone's rapid development is due in part to the recently-launched Kizad Logistics City, which responds to the needs of distributors, manufacturers, shippers and logistics companies in the region. The new hub is adjacent to Khalifa Port, and close to major UAE airports. (mw)
