Further Eurasia railfreight service introduced
A new China-Moscow freight train departed from the city of Langfang in north China's Hebei Province last Saturday, 25 February 2023.
Carrying 55 40-foot containers, it will leave the country via Erenhot Port in North China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, pass through Mongolia and finally arrive at its destination in Moscow after a 7,800 km and 17 days long journey.
The train is transporting light industrial products, food, clothing and daily necessities, which are from local companies in Langfang and surrounding areas. According to the Chinese state-run information office, the freight train service will further promote the coordinated development of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region and complement the construction of the Belt and Road Initiative.
