Fuel storage at Khalifa Port

The AD Ports Group and Oylz Terminals have signed a 50-year agreement to develop a petroleum storage terminal at Khalifa Port.

The UAE-based company plans to build a 600,000 cbm storage facility in two phases within the port’s logistics hub. Phase one is scheduled to begin operations by mid-2027. Saif Al Mazrouei, CEO Ports Cluster at AD Ports Group, said the terminal would attract “more customers seeking world-class infrastructure and seamless access to global markets.”

Dr Khalid Omar Mohamed Hamad Almidfa, the chairman of Oylz Terminals, described the project as a key step in the company’s expansion strategy and a contribution to Abu Dhabi’s position as an international energy hub. And he added that “this agreement will lay the foundation for an efficient, sustainable and future-ready terminal.” (js)
