Fuel for up to 3,000 CNG powered trucks daily
Tourmaline and Clean Energy have opened two new CNG stations in Alberta, Canada. The facility advances the first commercial-grade natural gas fuelling corridor in the western part of the country.
The new locations in Calgary and Grande Prairie, along with the Edmonton station which opened in April 2023, establish a transport corridor for trucking companies converting their fleets from diesel to CNG, the two partners said.
Tourmaline and Clean Energy plan to build up to 20 CNG fuelling stations in western Canada in the next five years. Once complete, the 20-station network could fuel up to 3,000 natural gas-powered trucks daily. (ben)
