Fuel cell trucks for emission-free fleet
In Germany, the Esslingen district in Baden-Württemberg has commissioned EFA-S, a specialist for new and converted e-transporters, to build two trucks with fuel cell technology.
In addition to a battery, the vehicles have hydrogen tanks and a fuel cell that converts the hydrogen into electrical energy.
The goal is to gradually convert the entire fleet to quiet and emission-free trucks. A battery-electric EFA-S transporter has already been in daily use since last year. The vehicle is equipped with an 80 kWh battery and has a range of more than 200 km. (ben)
