From the Port of Amsterdam to NPRC

Femke Brenninkmeijer will assume her new role as chairman of the inland shipping cooperative NPRC, Europe’s third largest inland shipping organisation, on 1 June 2020. Brenninkmeijer is currently head of the energy, cargo and offshore division at the Port of Amsterdam.

Frank Ex, chairman of the supervisory board at NPRC: "Brenninkmeijer is the ideal person to lead NPRC. We are looking forward to her energy, her sharp mind and her entrepreneurial intuition for which she is renowned in the Port of Amsterdam.”

Brenninkmeijer is also delighted with the new challenge and says: "I see opportunities in markets which we have not focused on so far. The current corona crisis has shown once again that logistics plays an essential role in the economy.”

Brenninkmeijer will succeed NPRC's current chairman Stefan Meeusen, who will leave the cooperative in in April 2020 after ten years of service. He will join Peterson Inspection & Logistics as managing director on 18 May. (mw)
