From the hinterland to the front row
Matthijs van Doorn has been appointed VP commercial of the Port of Rotterdam Authority, succeeding Emile Hoogsteden. In the preceding seven years, van Doorn was responsible for developing the hinterland network in his role as director of the logistics department.
Since 2020, he has also been involved in setting up the digital strategy and responsible for the port's digital portfolio.

Before joining the Port of Rotterdam Authority, van Doorn had worked in various commercial positions at TNT. Besides his knowledge of the logistics sector, his experience includes complex projects in digitisation, sales and supply chain optimisation. (ah)
