From the banks of the Rhine
The Swiss logistics provider M+R Spedag has commissioned the freight forwarder Dreier to take over its domestic general cargo and container transport services.
From July this year, Dreier will deliver incoming shipments to final recipients in Switzerland and pre-collect cargo to be exported through M+Spedag’s transhipment terminal in Kaiseraugst on the Rhine near Basel. Goods are distributed in part by rail, switching back to trucks for the last mile.
M+R Spedag and its terminal will benefit from this collaboration by gaining access to Dreier’s large Swiss network which it operates from its base in Härkingen. An emphasis will also be put on decarbonisation, with Dreier set to increase its EV fleet to 65 trucks by 2026.
