From Canada to Casablanca
Last week, Pratt & Whitney Canada, an RTX company, hosted the ceremonial inauguration of its new manufacturing facility (12,000 sqm) – Pratt & Whitney Maroc (PWM) – that will produce detailed static and structural machined parts for the company’s aircraft engines. The event was held in the presence of Ryad Mezzour, Morocco's minister of industry and trade, and local business officials.
Once operational, which is expected next year, PWM will complement Pratt & Whitney Canada’s current manufacturing sites and supply chain and help secure parts to meet the strong global customer demand.
Maria Della Posta, president, Pratt & Whitney Canada: "We selected Morocco after a careful global benchmarking effort that pointed to Casablanca’s growing hub of aerospace companies including RTX ’s Collins Aerospace." (ah)
