Frigoscandia changes hands
Private equity holding Mutares is acquiring Frigoscandia from Posten Norge. Founded in 1948, Frigoscandia specialises in fresh, chilled and frozen food logistics solutions, providing transport services for goods at temperatures from -25° to +25°C. It operates out of 25 warehouses and terminals in Sweden and Norway. Its portfolio includes domestic and international transport and warehousing.
The transaction, whose financial details were not disclosed, is expected to close in Q1/2022 at the latest. Frigoscandia recently underwent a re-branding, the original name being Bring Frigo during the majority of Posten Norge’s ownership.
The company is headquartered in Helsingborg and mainly operates in Europe, with a particular focus on the Nordics. Frigoscandia plans to generate around EUR 300 million revenue and employs more than 1,000 people. (sh)
