Frigo Breda sets up new waterfront cold store in Moerdijk
Frigo Breda, a provider of transport and cold-store solutions for refrigerated and frozen cargo, will set up a branch in the port of Moerdijk as from 1 June 2020. The new location will measure 58,000 sqm and have its own quay measuring 300 m. Frigo Breda will build a waterfront cold storage facility with a capacity for 700,000 pallets and a new head office.
In the new location Frigo Breda will store frozen and chilled products that can be shipped in or exported using all modes of transport: water, rail and road. In addition to the cold store, a container yard will be created with sufficient reefer-plugs for cooling loaded reefer containers.
A new border inspection point (BIP) will also be created for the Dutch veterinary inspection body (NVWA), allowing imported products like meat or fish arriving by container to be inspected on site. (mw)
