Frasers Property to build Düsseldorf site
“The Tube” is Frasers Property Industrial’s newest German project and scheduled to be completed by Q1/2025. The logistics park near Düsseldorf-Reisholz will aim for maximal sustainability and be built by Goldbeck International. 70,000 t of demolished material and 12,500 t of raw material were recycled.
Solar panels and an intelligent heating system will be installed. Frasers Property seeks to attain a DGNB Gold certificate for the demolition and DGNB Platinum for the building.
The site was formerly used by a steel tube producer – hence the name “The Tube” - meaning that certain machine parts and aspects of the old building can be repurposed. The GFA will be 74,000 sqm, of which 41,200 sqm are intended for production and logistics, 32,000 sqm for commerce. The site is well-connected thanks to its proximity to Düsseldorf and various ports and airports. (mk)
