Fraport USA's new gadget
The idea was born in the USA. Airport retail concessions developer Fraport USA is partnering with Servy, the enterprise self-service platform for hospitality, to bring its mobile ordering and delivery service, Gatewaiter, to select US airports.
The new platform, powered by Servy’s Grab Airport Marketplace technology, was launched this month at Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport (BWI) and Cleveland Hopkins International Airport (CLE).
Passengers and staff at participating airports will be able to place contactless orders for food and drink using their smartphones, with the option of having their choices delivered to them at a location of their choosing.
Fraport USA is the developer and manager of the retail, food and beverage operations at Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport (BWI), Cleveland Hopkins International Airport (CLE), Pittsburgh International Airport (PIT), Jetblue’s Terminal 5 at New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK), Nashville International Airport (BNA) and Newark Liberty International Airport’s (EWR) Terminal. (sh)
