Frankfurt cargo handler ready for pharma
FCS Frankfurt Cargo Services, an affiliate of the global cargo handling company WFS Worldwide Flight Services and Fraport AG, the owner and operator of Frankfurt airport, has concluded Iata's CEIV Pharma process, confirming that it officially meets the high standards that apply to transportation of pharmaceutical products.
Christoph Cyranek, FCS manager quality assurance & performance improvement: "As part of our preparations for the logistics involving Covid-19 vaccines that is presumably coming up, this certification comes at just the right time, of course."
During the certification process, FCS equipped special warehouses with a state-of-the-art new temperature monitoring system and underwent an in-depth audit. The next big step, i.e. GDP certification, is also coming up soon. (ah)
