Four new B777Fs for Lufthansa Cargo and Aerologic

Lufthansa Cargo will take delivery of a fourth new freighter in autumn 2019. The B777F will be leased from Boeing and operated by Aerologic at Leipzig/Halle airport (Germany). This will take the fleet of Aerologic, a joint venture of Lufthansa and DHL Express, to twelve aircraft this year.

Lufthansa Cargo CEO Peter Gerber: "We put four brand-new freighters into operation this year. This will effectively modernise our own fleet at our Frankfurt base. At the same time, we, as a shareholder, are focusing on growing Aerologic."

Wolfgang Raebiger, Aerologic's managing director finance: "We are pleased that Aerologic, offering one of the most modern and efficient freighter fleets in the world, is continuing to grow at Leipzig airport."

DHL (Germany) recently took delivery of one B757-200PCF at the same airport. (ah)
