Four HDZEVs for Prince Rupert

Four new zero and low-emission heavy-duty (HDZEV) trucks will be added to operations at the port of Prince Rupert, Canada. The vehicles – two hydrogen powered, one battery electric and one hydrogen-diesel co-combustion – will be tested on existing operational routes, which will provide information about their performance, technical capability and operational feasibility.

The project will run to the end of 2026 and is supported by the Canadian province of British Columbia with the aim to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and support sustainability in the transport sector.

Moment Energy, a North American specialist for battery energy storage systems, will supply high speed charging facilities for the HDZEVs. (ben)
