Founder of the Huettemann Group dies
The founder of the Huettemann Group, Wolf Hüttemann, has died, aged 87 years. The trained lawyer laid the foundations for the group of companies in 1956, as he deployed two dump trucks to deliver supplies to the flourishing coal and steel industry in the Ruhr area.
With foresight, a good knowledge of human nature, principled leadership and authority he further developed the family-owned business and navigated the company through difficult times like the structural changes in the economy of the Ruhr area.
Hüttemann dedicated more than 50 years of this life to the company before his son Klaus took the helm. During this time, the small family-owned business grew into the globally active Huettemann Group.
And although he was not directly involved in running the business during the last decade, Hüttemann kept a close eye on this development and ensured that his company would continue to thrive after his death. (mw)
