Founder of EMO Trans USA dies
EMO Trans, a global provider of logistics and supply chain management services, mourns the death of its founder and chairman Joachim (Jo) Frigger, who passed away unexpectedly on 19 April 2021.
Born 1940 in Germany, Frigger moved to the USA in 1966 working for Deugro and served EMO Trans for nearly 50 years as chairman, CEO, president and the founder of EMO Trans USA (1972).
Under his tenure, the US branch of the German company founded in Stuttgart in 1965 grew from one office at New York JFK to a logistics powerhouse with a presence in every major American shipping hub and an international reach through the EMO Trans global network.
Today, EMO Trans USA has grown to 33 branches nationwide, employing nearly 400 staff. The group has over 85 offices in 21 countries and 250+ network offices in 120 countries. (amh)
