Fortifying food logistics
Langdons, part of Stef, a food logistics group, has acquired Long Lane Deliveries, a Scottish transport company, thus increasing the group’s territorial coverage in Scotland and the UK.
Operating from its bases in Bellshill and Dundee, Long Lane Deliveries specialises in the transport of fresh, frozen and ambient food products. Langdons has been part of Stef Group since 2022 and provides temperature-controlled food logistics services within the UK and Europe.
The two companies’ networks complement each other, as Langdons has a scattering of sites in the UK and Scotland. The takeover also enhances Stef Group’s portfolio for customers in food manufacturing, retail or catering. (mk)
