Former CFO becomes CEO
After a three-month search reviewing candidates from all parts of the USA and the industry, the Port of Corpus Christi Commission voted in a special meeting on 6 September 2023 to promote Kent Britton, CFO of the Texan port since 2019, to the position of full-time CEO. He has served as interim CEO since 1 June.
Prior to joining the Port of Corpus Christi in 2017, Britton worked as CFO for the Glencore-owned Sherwin Alumina Company. He honed his collaborative leadership style over more than 30 years in accounting and finance, including executive roles at the integrated aluminium company Alcoa and Blackbaud, a software provider to non-profit organisations.
Charles W. Zahn, Jr., chairman of the Port of Corpus Christi Commission: " Britton has played a key role on a leadership team that guided the Port of Corpus Christi through six transformational years of milestones." (ah)
