Fnac and Ceva: tackling Europe's e-commerce together
Fnac Darty and Ceva Logistics have an agreement to establish a joint venture to become a major European player in the e-commerce logistics and SaaS (software as a service) market.
Weavenn, the joint venture, will offer a unique, fully integrated service combining technology solutions and high-performance logistics for multi-channel distribution. The Fnac Darty group has a network of nearly 1,000 shops, coupled with an omnichannel model with 24 million monthly visitors to its websites.
Ceva Logistics, a leader in third-party logistics has a network covering more than 170 countries and a fulfilment platform, Shipwire.
Over the next five years, the joint venture could generate sales in excess of €200 million, with a double-digit operating margin. The cooperation is set to be operational from 2024, subject to approval by authorities. (mk)
