FMS Chile operational since December
As a part of its international expansion, the Hamburg-based service provider, Fr. Meyer’s Sohn (FMS), recently opened a new office in Santiago de Chile. The office is headed by Jose Antonio Robledo. The vertical focus will be on consumer products, metals, minerals and forestry.
Chile, a South American nation bordering with Argentina, Peru and Bolivia, exported goods worth USD 39 billion in H1/2018 - up 26.2% compared to H1/2017. Almost half (49.9%) of Chilean exports by value were delivered to Asian countries, 18.6% to North American importers, 15.3% to European nations and 14.5% to other Latin American countries.
The country’s main export markets are China, the USA, Brazil and India; Chile’s main imports stem from China, Germany USA and Brazil – all countries where FMS operates own offices. (cd)
