FM Logistic catching up
FM Logistic, a French logistics Group founded in 1967, has reported its results for the 2020 financial year. Turnover, at EUR 1,4 billion, declined by 3.6% compared to the previous year.
Besides the economic slowdown caused by Covid-19 in spring 2020, an unfavourable currency impact of EUR 73 million also affected the results. These factors were partially offset by a strong recovery in activity in H2/2020.
Store sales increased 1.5% y-o-y. Profit before interest and taxes (ebit) amounted to EUR 38.8 million, 8.7% below the level of 2019.
Jean-Christophe Machet, president of FM Logistic, remains optimistic: "We signed EUR 207 million in new contracts between April 2020 and March 2021, half of which relates to omnichannel and urban logistics.” (sh)
