Flying relief to flooded Southern Brazil


TAP Air Portugal has carried out a special flight exclusively for the transport of more than 11 t of humanitarian aid collected in Portugal to help the victims of the disaster in the Brazilian state of Rio Grande do Sul.

 

The humanitarian flight operated by TAP in cooperation with the Portuguese government departed yesterday, 28 May 2024, from Lisbon in a cargo-only A330-900 neo, with a crew of two pilots and two cabin crew members specially assigned to this flight.

 

Bound for São Paulo, it carried basic necessities such as diapers, clothing and toiletries. In total, there were 1195 boxes, weighing 11,317 kg with a volume of 100 cbm.

 

TAP Air Portugal reaffirms its commitment to retaining its position as Europe’s most Brazilian airline, offering 96 weekly flights, with direct connections to eleven capitals in the country. (ah)
