Five locomotives to be used abroad
Five 193 series locomotives have arrived at the centre for rail vehicle repairs in Usti nad Labem, Czechia. They were leased by CD Cargo on the basis of a tender announced at the end of last year. The locomotives will now be rented out to Alpha Trains for one year.
The vehicles are A10 locomotives, which are approved for operation in Czechia, in all surrounding countries, as well as in Hungary and the Netherlands. They will be deployed mainly abroad to cover the ever-expanding activities of branches in Germany and Austria and perhaps other countries as well, the Czech carrier said.
The leased locomotives are scheduled to be put into operation after the takeover in the first weeks of January. Two more Vectrons will be sourced from another owner. (ben)
