First woman presiding over Fedespedi
The general assembly of Fedespedi (Italy's federation of international freight forwarders), has elected Silvia Moretto, CEO of the D.B. Group, based in Montebelluna, near Venice, as president for the next three years.
Following on from Roberto Alberti, Moretto is Fedespedi's 16th president and the first ever woman to lead the trade body in its 70-year history.
During her first speech, Moretto thanked Fedespedi’s former president for the work he did and all the federation’s members for their support and commitment. She also highlighted two main characteristics of freight forwarders: “Their courage to deal with an increasingly demanding and rapidly changing market, and their resilience, their capacity to outdo themselves, go beyond their limits and innovate their own businesses."
